Question:
My '90 Targa will be here soon, and my garage floor is brand new.
Just in case there's going to be some oil dripping, can anyone recommend
a mat or pan for the garage floor?
Can anyone in the group point out some suggestions for me please? I am really in need of your help about this kind of things
Answer:
My wife just showed me a 6'x9' vinyl mat in one of her many catalogs. $169!!! I
think Home Depot is the way to go. Thanks for the note. My '88 911 has started
leaking again since the move to Coeur d'Alene, so far only 2 drops and after a
run. Could be a leaky oil pressure sensor. Hope it's not cam cover lines again,
I thought I had that cured last year. The best long-term protection for your garage floor is to give it a coat of
heavy-duty epoxy floor paint. It comes in a range of colours and is much
easier to clean than plain concrete commonly used in garage floors. It also
helps to reduce the dust if you do any spray painting. I know it may be
overkill, but hey, we're enthusiasts
